One of Charleston’s most storied watering holes (and the spot where Caroline and Daniel became “official”). This open-air Broad Street gem is a go-to for locals and visitors alike.
PSA: Wedding goers who make it past the reception; we’ll likely venture here.
SHEM CREEK (Mt. Pleasant)
Red’s is a wonderfully redneck joint on the water. Go here for sugary drinks and dolphin watching on the water.
SHEM’S CREEK (Mt. Pleasant)
Sprawling deck and wraparound bar on the water with Southwestern grub and Geechie Boy margaritas. CD tip: Show up an hour before the sun sets for stunning golden hour views.
DOWNTOWN (Upper King area)
The most popular open-air brewery in Chuck Town. Only serves local craft brew; so Bud Light drinkers (like Daniel)—beware. Best enjoyed on the rooftop deck and conveniently located across the street from Home Team.
As boujie as it sounds, Cocktail Club is a bachelorette party atmosphere in the middle of the action downtown. Definitely a cool spot to visit if you’re feeling rowdy one night. Warning: drinks can be pricey.
No matter what your age group or drink preference, a trip to The Dewberry’s iconic bar is essential for every Charleston novice. Luckily, we’re be partying right next door in the ballroom / courtyard on Saturday.
